The one piece I must point out is Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is presented more like an add-on, rather than a total, complete product. Yes, the game is certainly shorter than any other Uncharted offering, but it still packs the punch players expect from a Naughty Dog title. You get a condensed story mode and access to Uncharted 4’s multiplayer and survival modes, which hints at its depth (or lack thereof). Still, it’s definitely far from a money grab. I don’t want either point to deter players from picking Uncharted: The Lost Legacy up. It’s fantastic, but it will just be a shorter experience than you’re used to.
I mean, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy does come with an epic bad guy in Asav, a point that wasn’t quite clear early in development. He’s a masterfully created enemy that rivals the likes of his predecessors. His main goal is to disrupt the country by starting a war. Oh, and he’s looking to get rich off it along the way. His bone to pick with the government is beautifully laid out, as is his conflict with our two main protagonists. He’s certainly worth the time and effort, when all is said and done.
The Uncharted series may have moved away from our old pal Drake, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is as beautiful as ever, and its storyline is just as captivating as you would expect. In fact, the arch, peaks, and valley, in terms of its plot, are unmatched in the current landscape. Perhaps its my love for these stories or it just might be that this game could end up being one underrated gem. Either way, the newest edition from Naughty Dog is superb, almost to the point where you forget who that Nathan guy was in the first place. Well, maybe not, but Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a must buy, especially at $39.99, and should keep the franchise rolling for at least another couple of months.
